My story with Nia

Monthly Schedule coming soon
My first time!

In 2013, one of my friend had tried a Nia class. She was really enthusiastic about it and insisted that I should try it too. One late Tuesday night I decided to join a class...We took our shoes off, which already felt great and liberating...The music started and I let myself be guided by the teacher...It took no time at all for me to fall in love with Nia. It was like my whole body had opened up for the first time. It was more than just thrills all over my body, I felt as though pure light was going right through me. I had never felt so  light and joyous!! From that moment I was determine to learn this practice, use it and share the joy!

The training

In July 2013, there was a Nia teacher training with co-founder Debbie Rosas at the Head quarters of Nia in Portland, Oregon. I really wanted to go and realised at that point that I didn't have the means to take that training.

When something is meant to be...

I didn't give up and it all happened thanks to some very special people: Here are my thanks to my friends who helped made my Nia training a dream come true. I saved on rent by giving up my appartement and staying with my generous Canadian friends, put my belongings in storage and managed to get the finances to go and train with Debbie Rosas...

What's next?

White Belt is the first step of a life long learning experience for me. There are 3 other belts in the Nia training curriculum. Learning how to move freely, to master martial arts and energy levels takes a lifetime.

I have been learning about health and fitness for more than 20 years and I am happy to keep on learning more via Nia.

My wish is now to share the Joy of Nia with you. I am currently working on the Nia choregraphy called Passion and will be sharing this practice starting this winter of 2013!
